Did you know...
... there's an exhibition of Christmas cards of 'serenos'? Serenos are people who used to watch the streets at nights. The exhibition is called Exponadales and you can see it in Palau Moja until the 8th of January. The cards reflect changes in traditional Christmas customs, fashion, language and the uniforms worn by these men. The origin of these cards is from the tradition of giving tips for specific services, a practice that was once quite common in the Christmas season. When asking for the tip, known in the past as estrena or aguinaldo, they included this sort of card.
